Kids Doc Medical Staff

Kids Doc staff are doctors just like your current pediatrician. Many of our pediatric physicians have day-time practices within the Orange County area. They provide their services through Kids Doc for evening and weekend emergency care. This provides our young patients with the best care possible.

Paulina J. Avendano, M.D.
Dr. Avendano obtained her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts in 1992 and completed her pediatric training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 1995. Dr. Avendano has been practicing in South Orange County since 2004. Dr. Avendano is fluent in English, Spanish and French. Dr. Avendano is married with three children.

Lauren Dwinnel, M.D.
Dr. Dwinnel obtained her medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City, Iowa in 1996 and completed her pediatric training at Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona in 1999. Dr. Dwinnel has been practicing in South Orange County since 2001. Dr. Dwinnel is married with two children.

John R. Conti, M.D.
Dr. Conti obtained his medical degree at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan in 1997 and completed his pediatric training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California in 2001. Dr. Conti has been practicing in South Orange County since 2004. Dr. Conti is married.

Cynthia A Dimalanta, M.D.
Dr. Dimalanta obtained her medical degree at the University of California at Irvine, College of Medicine in 1997 and completed her pediatric training at University of California at Irvine, Dept. of Pediatrics, Irvine, California in 2000. Dr. Dimalanta has been practicing in South Orange County since 2003. Dr. Dimalanta is married with two children.

Ashraf Fahim, M.D.
Dr. Fahim obtained his medical degree at the Alexandria School of Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt in 1998 and completed his pediatric training at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey in 2000. Dr. Fahim has practiced in California since 1991. Dr. Fahim is married.

Paul C. Fu, M.D.
Dr. Fu obtained his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts in 1993, he also completed his Masters of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999 and completed his pediatric training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, Torrance, California in 1997. Dr. Fu has practiced in California since 1997. Dr. Fu is married with three children.

Shaheen I Idries, M.D.
Dr. Idries obtained her medical degree at Dow Medical College in 1985 and completed her pediatric training at the University of California Irvine, Dept. of Pediatrics, Irvine, California in 1993, she also completed her Pediatric Gastroenterology training at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in 1996. Dr. Idries has practiced in South Orange County since 1996. Dr. Idries is married and has two children.

Jennifer Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Johnson obtained her medical degree at the University of Goettingen, Germany in 1981 and completed her pediatric training at the Vanderbilt University Hospital and Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee in 1984. Dr. Johnson also completed a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, San Diego, California in 1986. Dr. Johnson is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish. Dr. Johnson is married and has two children.

Jonathan S. Lin, M.D.
Dr. Lin obtained his medical degree at the University of California School of Medicine, Los Angeles, California in 2004 and completed his pediatric training at Children's Hospital of Orange County in 2006. Dr. Lin is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Christopher B. Lin, M.D.
Dr.Lin obtained his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois in 2001 and completed his pediatric training at Children's Hospital of Orange County , Orange, California in 2004. Dr. Lin is fluent in English, Spanish and Taiwanese. Dr. Lin is married.

George S. Yanni, M.D.
Dr. Yanni obtained his medical degree at Ain Shams University School of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt in 1981 and completed his pediatric training at Ain Shams University of Hospitals, Cairo, Egypt in 1982. Dr. Yanni also completed Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellow at UCLA School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Yanni has practiced in California since 1987. Dr. Yanni is married with two children.

Juvy G. Young, M.D.
Dr. Young obtained her medical degree at Cebu Doctors College of Medicine, Cebu City, Philippines in 1987 and completed her pediatric training at the University of Florida at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Florida in 1995. Wissy H. Wallis, PCCNP
Wissy obtained her MSN Pediatric Critical Care Nursing at San Diego State University, San Diego, California in 1995 and her Certificate for Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner at Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California in 1997. Wallis is married.
